Brandwatch is one of the world’s best Social Media Monitoring applications. We help hundreds of clients discover, understand and respond to comments made on the web. As we continue our fast expansion, we are hiring an experienced Intermediate Web App Tester to join our busy Quality Assurance team. 

Your main duties will be: 

  • Work with the product team leads, technical leads and product managers to understand new requirements and functionality 

  • Create automated acceptance criteria tests utilising Cucumber (given/when/then format) 
  • Estimate and execute manual tests using scripted and exploratory techniques, utilising a combination of web browsers 
  • Report issues and help developers to resolve them 
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the suite of regression test scripts and the automated testing framework 
  • Proactively own and manage all assigned tasks within your allocated product stream(s) 
  • Report progress to the Head of Testing 

You will need: 

  • A good university degree 
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) 
  • Good understanding of QA processes and the wider development life­ cycle 
  • Proven commercial web application testing 
  • Previous hands­-on experience using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, ruby or similar automated testing software 
  • Experience in Agile teams 
  • Experience with JIRA or similar commercial defect tracking tool 
  • To be comfortable delving into the console to investigate errors 
  • Knowledge of a range of web browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) and operating systems (Windows, MacOSX)
