Berlin Geekettes + Digital Media Women Hosts: 360 Degrees of Communication

Berlin Geekettes and Digital Media Women presents a full day of workshops covering all degrees of communication during Social Media Week. This series will allow attendees to utilize social media, PR and marketing through an actionable strategy and intelligent approach.

About our partner DMW

The Digital Media Women is a network of 1000 smart women working in digital media, founded in Hamburg and now with local chapters in Berlin, Munich, Cologne and the Frankfurt area. Principle aims of the network are to put women in the digital economy on the agenda and to connect them to share their knowledge and to benefit from each other. The fields that we work are often dominated by men, we want to improve the situation for women in these jobs and create more visability for them in a professional environment.

All workshops will be free to the public on Monday, August 26th. Early bird tickets are offered to those who have a "Connected Pass".

Schedule on September 23rd, 2013:

Moving digital media work spaces with kinesiology: a stress release for body and mind

(Noon- 1PM)

This workshop highlights links between commonly experienced stress symptoms at digital media work spaces and the need of integrating physical stimuli and movement into our digital lives. It proposes the necessity to address the creativity of our physical dimension – our bodies – on a regular basis.

Communities that thrive: Dos and Don’ts

(1:30-2:30PM)

Community Management is a job title many have heard of, but few know how to describe. In an increasingly social and mobile landscape, defining how to find, take care and keep users – and who is responsible for that – becomes a priority.

Einrichtung und Pflege einer Facebook Unternehmensseite

(2:30-4:30PM)

101 Marketing and PR Tactics

(3-4:30PM)

Are you a startup with limited time and resources? Right now you’re probably busy growing your company, supporting your team, raising money and acquiring users. But how can you also market your company brilliantly and score a blog post on The Next Web… or tell your story to New York Times?

Closing Keynote hosted by Digital Media Women:

HOW TO SUCCEED A A YOUNG WOMAN IN TECH

(6:30-7:30PM)

Young women are often afraid of taking the risk to launch their own businesses – a fact that needs to change rapidly! Céline Lazorthes, a young, female entrepreneur, managed to succeed in a very male-dominated field: Internet and Finance.

Please join us for Social Media Week!

Love,
