Berlin Geekettes Heads to UNCUBED

August 29, 2013 Jess Erickson

UNCUBED is a complete re-imagination the job fair created by Wakefield Media, a New York based media and events company, they have given new life to a genre of events previously reserved for the 'cubed' corporates awkwardly interacting with headshot resumé'd suits / professional hand-shake etiquette extremists.

The high-energy approach of UNCUBED stops just short of a circus and mixes music, contests, art, entertainment, speakers, class sessions, ping pong, and (arguably the most important) drinks.  The aim of it all of course though is to connect highly skilled talent with otherwise hard-to-discover job opportunities at exciting and innovative companies, but have fun while doing it.

Needless to say, it has grown in popularity into the largest and most successful and efficient event series of hiring startups across several cities in the USA, including; SF, NYC, Chicago and Los Angeles, where we're trusted by Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Stack Exchange, Spotify and SpaceX to name but a few.

They are now embarking upon their European adventure, and they have selected Berlin as their first stop, where we are partnering up with them, alongside other industry leaders such as Careers 2.0, Hubraum, Index Ventures, TechCrunch and many others.

On September 20th at Cafe Moskau they anticipate hosting 40 of Berlin's most innovative and successful companies all looking to discover amazing new hires, among them will be the likes of; Stack Exchange, SoundCloud, Native Instruments, Twisper, etc.

Join Berlin Geekettes Founder, Jess Erickson, in the morning for a workshop where she will be chatting with a group of people about her personal story of working in startups and Top 10 tips that will help land you that dream job.

"Uncubed provides an open, friendly, and comfortable environment where candidates can show off their skills and employers can authentically demonstrate a bit of their internal cultures. Ideally you want the candidate's experience/skills and personality to fit within the employer's needs and culture. Uncubed is the only platform out there that helps this process along."

- Alison Sperling, Director of Marketing at Stack Exchange.
